Frederiksværk Camping is a manageable campsite nestled between nature and the town—the best of both worlds. Here, you'll be greeted with a smile, a cup of coffee, and the local newspaper. We have 100 spacious pitches for all types of camping: caravans, motorhomes, and tents, set amongst lush and green surroundings with harmless deer and birdsong.
At the same time, we are right in the middle of Frederiksværk town — only 200 meters to the nearest supermarket, 300 meters to the pedestrian street with shops and restaurants, and 650 meters to Frederiksværk Station. The historic 303-year-old Frederiksværk Canal runs through our backyard, so you can paddle a canoe directly to Arresø or Roskilde Fjord.

We offer two types of campsites: tourist pitches for those on the go, and permanent pitches for those who want their own spot year-round.
Tourist pitch
From 110 kr./night
No reservation needed — just drive in when it suits you. Settle down where you wish and enjoy the peace, the nature, and the weather. The site is centrally located with 200 m to the supermarket, 300 m to the pedestrian street, and 400 m to the cultural center Gjethuset.
Included: 1 free canoe trip, free WiFi and parking, access to a tennis court, playground and communal facilities.
Long-term pitch
From 10,000 kr/year
Your own permanent spot all year round. A year-round spot with us means both peace in nature and proximity to the city's amenities — only a 5-minute bike ride to the harbor. Limited staff during the winter season (October 1 – March 31).
Included: Bathroom, kitchen, and emptying of the chemical toilet.

We have everything you need for a comfortable camping holiday — from warm showers to a playground and tennis court.
Bathroom and sanitation
Well-maintained shower rooms with hot water included. Toilets, sinks, handicap/family shower and toilet.
Communal kitchen
Fully equipped communal kitchen with stove and refrigerator. Dining areas and ample space for cooking regardless of the weather.
Activities
Tennis court as a neighbor. Playground for the children. Fire pits and barbecue facilities. Canoe rental directly from the site by the canal.
Practical
Free WiFi throughout the entire area. Free parking. Ice house with ice, soda, candy, and basic necessities. Laundry services available for a fee. Electricity hookups at most sites.
Canoeing directly from the campsite
Our absolute biggest draw: The 303-year-old Frederiksværk Canal runs through our backyard. Rent a canoe or kayak and paddle towards Arresø — Denmark's largest lake — or the other way towards Roskilde Fjord and Hundested. Paddles and life jackets are included.
All overnight campers receive 1 hour of free canoe rental included in the price. — an experience that normally costs DKK 100. Children love it, and for many guests, it becomes the highlight of the evening.
